Clawsmith (Arcade Machine Technician)

Status: Contract / As-Needed
Reports To: Store Manager

Position Summary:
The Clawsmith provides ongoing maintenance and emergency repair services for claw machines and arcade equipment. This contracted role ensures machines remain operational, safe, and calibrated for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to service requests and troubleshoot machine errors
Perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis
Replace worn components and install upgrades when needed
Log all work performed and communicate with store management
Ensure machines meet company gameplay and safety standards

Skills & Requirements:

Technical experience working with arcade or electromechanical equipment
Access to tools and ability to source parts as needed
Reliable communication and responsiveness to service calls
Familiarity with prize systems, coin/token mechanisms, and wiring basics

People are amazing and I want to make sure they have a great experience while visiting the claw arcade.

I'm nice to customers as long as they show respect. I'll do what the job requires and not much more.

I've got years of customer service experience and helping customers is natural to me.

Understanding how the claw machines operate and being able to troubleshoot minor issues that may arise is important. You should have a basic mechanical aptitude to handle routine maintenance or adjustments on the machines to keep them operational.

Why it this relevant, I'm not trying to fix arcade games all day

I'm mechanical in nature and learn quickly

I've never been know to be handy however I'm willing to learn anything.
